About Lafia.health

Lafia.health is an automated educational service operated by Exonta LLC. It helps people understand written laboratory results by keeping each reported value with the unit and reference interval shown on the original report, then organising that information into a plain-language guide and questions to discuss with a qualified healthcare professional.

How it works

Upload one laboratory-results document as a PDF, JPG, or PNG. Optical character recognition (OCR) reads the written values, units, reference ranges, and findings. Automated AI processing organises the detected information and creates an explanation. Results appear on Lafia.health and may be available as a downloadable PDF.

Supported reports and limitations

Lafia.health is designed for value-based written reports such as complete blood counts, metabolic and lipid profiles, thyroid tests, urinalysis, diabetes markers, and kidney and liver panels. It does not analyse medical images such as X-rays, CT or MRI scans, ultrasound images, or ECG tracings. It may explain an accompanying written report when one is included.

An explanation can be incomplete or inaccurate, particularly when a document is blurry, incomplete, or unusually formatted. On the public service, explanations are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a physician or human clinician.

Educational use

Use Lafia.health to understand terminology and prepare questions—not to make a diagnosis or treatment decision. A qualified healthcare professional can interpret results in the context of symptoms, medical history, medications, and other relevant information. If a report or symptom may represent an emergency, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for Lafia.health.

Languages

You can choose English, Arabic, Turkish, Italian, Spanish, Polish, French, or German as the output language, regardless of the language of the uploaded report. Auto-detect may preserve additional report languages where supported. Language quality can vary by document quality and language.

Privacy and contact

Laboratory reports may contain sensitive health information. Read the Privacy Policy and Data-Use Disclosures before uploading a report. For questions or privacy requests, contact contact@exonta.io.
